Our client, a company in the transport and logistics industry incorporated in Uganda with the aim of offering timely and secure logistical solutions to businesses and individuals across the globe, seeks to hire Sales Executives. The ideal candidates’ primary purpose will be to achieve set sales targets, identify new points of contacts, maintain and promote strong customer relationships among the existing customers, and promote the firm by building its identity in the marketplace by adapting to emerging trends.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Seek and promote the company’s services to potential and existing clients.
  • Seek leads and develop clientele through networking so as to find new and potential customers.
  • Contact potential clients and make presentations to prospective clients.
  • Forward customer queries and complaints to Management and resolve matters that can be handled at your level of authority.
  • Identify customer needs and present them to the Company.
  • Carry out market intelligence to determine competitor position in the market.
  • Maintain a record of all business acquired and prospective clients
  • Develop a periodical plan to achieve set sales target
  • Responsible for carrying out prospecting calls
  • Establishing and manage relationships with customers in need of the firm’s freight transportation services
  • Maintain consistent positive interactions to nurture customer relationships
  • Take ownership of customer issues and follow-through till resolution
  • Represent the firm in negotiating and building relationship with shippers and carriers.
  • Perform Cold-calling and work to build a book of businesses.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a business – related course
  • At least 3 years in Sales & marketing department of preferably a courier company selling exports and imports
  • Extremely aggressive person in target based sales
  • Strong knowledge of the local freight forwarding industry – imports and exports via Sea, Road and Air
  • Smart and presentable
  • Self-managed and go getter
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
