JAVA FULL STACK SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Our client, an Information Systems expert company providing Technology+Business solutions in Uganda and East Africa is looking to hire a Java Full Stack Software Engineer.
They are the founders of the SalesManager ERP system designed to support MSMEs in organizing, tracking, and managing sales, purchases/supplies, inventory/stock, assets, expenses, consumables, cash flow, and books of accounts (balance sheet, income, profits, and losses statement and cash flow statement) with its multiple features.
Opportunity
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Java Full Stack Software Engineer to join the applications development team. To fill this position, we are looking for a programmer who thinks creatively, is naturally innovative, highly collaborative, and has a passion for developing applications that impact businesses.
The role
On a typical day as a Java Full Stack Software Engineer, you will develop software across the full stack i.e., from server-side back-end to client-side side interfaces.
How will you make your mark?
• Writing clean code for the front and back end of the software.
• Testing and debugging software to keep it optimized.
• Designing user interactions.
• Creating servers and databases for the back end of the software.
• Ensuring cross-platform compatibility and optimization.
• Testing and maintaining the responsive design of applications.
• Developing APIs and RESTful services.
• Document functional and technical artifacts for application and new requests.
• Keeping up with technological advances to optimize software.
• Communicating the effectiveness of emerging technologies to decision-makers.
Required Qualification & skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from a reputed university.
• Object-oriented programming in Java (Required).
• Mobile App development in Android and iOS (Added Advantage).
• Front-end tools HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• DBMS including SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, etc.
• Version control systems like Git.
• APIs and RESTful services.
• Positive, proactive and fine eye to detail
• Effective and efficient communicator
• Team player
